Callout 25/09/2017

September 25, 2017

The team were called out at approximately 1525hrs this afternoon to assist a female walker who had become lost descending from the summit of Goatfell.
Contact was made with the casualty via mobile phone but the exact location of her whereabouts was uncertain.
Both the teams Argo cats were utilised to get team members including one of our team search dogs as high up Goatfell as possible whilst other team members made there way up Glen Rosa towards the saddle area.
A short while after the search had commenced the casualty was spotted by team members on some very steep ground to the West of the Coire Chatan area of Goatfell.
Team members made there way to the casualties location where she was then helped to safety and brought down off the hill by Argo cat.
Thankfully the casualty was unharmed.

The views of a spectacular cloud inversion which had engulfed the entire clyde and villages below us was a lovely treat! 😁
