CALLOUT 18/07/2017
The team were called out at approximately 1800hrs yesterday evening to assist with a male walker who had fallen and sustained a head injury whilst traversing the A'Chir ridge.
Rescue 199 were tasked but unfortunately due to the casualties location on the ridge, they were unable to evacuate him safely.
The team were flown by Rescue 199 from our base to a safe location close to the casualty and on reaching him, a rope rescue system was set up allowing us to transfer the casualty safely into our stretcher and lower him down to safe ground.
The casualty was then carried down out of the Coire to a suitable location for Rescue 199 to then evacuate him to hospital.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and thank everybody involved for their assistance.
