Callout 09/09/2016

September 28, 2016

Callout 09/09/2016The team were called out at approximately 1730hrs to assist a Duke Of Edinburgh group(3 adults and 6 teenagers) who had become stuck at one of the burn crossings in Gleann Easan due to the rapidly rising water levels.

The team assisted the group across the burn safely by creating a human chain and using a rope for security.

The party were well prepared and in high spirits and although cold and wet all were thankfully unharmed.

The team advises walkers to be aware that burn crossings can become impassable extremely quickly if there's been heavy rain and to plan alternative route options.
