February Training 2016 - Night Navigation, Urie Loch Area

February 7, 2016

Last night the team headed out for a night navigation exercise up the Urie Loch area.

Team members split into small groups where one group navigated with a Satmap GPS unit and the other groups with map and compass.

The Satmap group set out to find exact markers which had been placed earlier in the day where as the groups navigating with map and compass set out to find features on the map, working their way across the hillside until the Urie loch path was reached.

A great evenings training with some very boggy boots(and bums)at the end of the night. Pics by Lucy Wallace, K Smith.
