First exercise of the season

November 2, 2014

Our first exercise of the season today - A mock callout which involved searching for two injured trail runners who had been out doing a recce of the Glen Rosa horse shoe race.
One of the runners had slipped and was unable to move or feel his legs while the other runner had slipped further down the hill when going for help.
Both casualties were located not far from each other in the Coire Daingean area coming off Bein a' Chliabhain, after a line search was conducted. The first casualty found was treated for a leg injury and evacuated off the hill in the team Argo cat whilst the second casualty was located, treated for a suspected spinal injury and then stretchered off the hill.

A successful days training.
